vivED Service Alignment with ISTE Standards
The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), has become the voice for educational technology across the Nation. ISTE is a collaboration of educators, technology enthusiasts, and researchers, whose mission is to promote appropriate uses of information technology to support and improve learning, teaching, and administration in K-12 education and teacher education.
One of the most prominent efforts of ISTE is that of the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS). ISTE, along with the expertise of thousands of educators, has created standards for teachers, administrators, and students that will allow for the creation of learning environments supportive of authentic classroom integration. vivED has adopted the NETS standards as well, integrating the standards in our services and tools where appropriate. vivED Consultants are ISTE members and strongly believe in and support the national movement around educational technology.
We offer 2 services that are specific to understanding ISTE standards:
ISTE Standards for the classroom teacher and students
Technology Skills for School Leaders (ISTE standards for administrators are addressed)
Below is an outline of the ISTE Standards for Administrators (NETS*A) along with a listing of the services offered by vivED that are in direct alignment with the standards.
