Our Evaluation service for schools determines whether existing technology is being used effectively, reveals facility-wide strengths and weaknesses, and verifies whether technology budgets are being maximized. We analyze the findings to provide detailed recommendations for strategic, yet swift improvement.

How does it work?

vivED's evaluations are based on formal and proven evaluation techniques. Our consultants utilize several methods to ensure the data we collect is accurate and relevant. Each evaluation begins with a kickoff meeting for the entire district/school staff and community to explain the process, purpose, value, and expectations of the schools. Minimizing the effort needed by the staff and community, vivED then collects data through:

- Documentation Review - analysis of technology plans, written policies, inventories, and any additional recorded data.
- Surveys - staff, administration, community/business, parent, student, and teacher surveys are conducted.
- Worksheets - detailed, easy to use worksheets are provided to technology leaders to help obtain necessary information
This data is collected and analyzed by a vivED consultant. After the initial analysis, data collection continues:
- Interviews - professional interviews of staff, students, and administration
- Observation - casual, non-threatening observation of technology throughout the school building
- Inventory - formal infrastructure count
All of the data is then reviewed and analyzed. The client is rated using the vivED Dashboard, an evaluation and accountability tool. The client's Dashboard, along with detailed findings and recommendations are provided in a formal report and are professionally presented to the entire school community.

Each participating school receives:
- A written report detailing the findings and recommendations needed to improve technology usage. (This report is also available online)
- A formal presentation reviewing the project results
Frequently asked question: I've already conducted some surveys and completed other evaluation activities - can you use some of this data to save time and money?
Answer: vivED will review any evaluation data that you have previously collected as part of our service. Where applicable, we will use that data and pass the associated cost savings onto you.
